INGOMA MAGNIFICENT 8

Burundian drums represent a rare pearl when it comes to entertainment. A lot of people refer to it as "INGOMA", It is one common aspect among many that makes Burundi unique worldwide. It is made from one specific tree called "Umuvugagoma" not any other regular tree. When INGOMA starts resounding among the crowd, a beautiful but natural smile appears on people's faces. This effect that the INGOMA has upon several people  doesn't surprise us anymore.foreigners who get the opportunity to admire them are left speechless. It has  melodious sound that brings passion and enthusiasm among the listeners. Some people even joke that the melody can resuscitate people to contemplate its beauty. This is because it resonates in nature like birds' morning chants . Due to its beautiful sound, it is played in most of the state events and grandiose ceremonies without leaving out some international activities. For example it was used in one fraction of the record breaker marvel movie Black panther. It brings joy and provide the desire of an everlasting admiration. It is played in  a harmonious way which justify the origin of its pleasant sound. Unfortunately referring to this world which is increasingly fighting for gender equality, it is unpleasant for some people to know that INGOMA is forbidden for girls and that men have an upper hand of playing the sacred drum. However ladies are permitted to dance to it. I am sure that a lot of people will start guessing why ladies are not allowed to play INGOMA. There is a secret which is hidden under such aspect. It is like the laws of nature where female and female can never breed together. Therefore, our ancestors' reasoning was based on pure reality. The drums parts are named in regard to female's body parts. So, in Burundian culture and most of cultures around the world, it will be unmoral to say that a lady plays with another females' parts.
