Family  is usually made of people who are connected by blood. they comprise of siblings such as mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, cousins, uncles,aunties and others. The expectation is that family must be the best supporting system for anyone.There is a saying that blood is thicker than water . This means that family bonds are deeper and one should priotize family members over others. However is family an asset or a liability? The blood and emotional connections involved directly place an expectation that family should come to each other help when needed. however at what level this expectation becomes an unhealthy dependency and a burden. For those who come from humble begins, they are aware how the complexity involved to make it to the top. Why East African elections tend to be violent?

    East Africa experiences violence in almost every election cycle. elections are means of choosing a new leader and they are expected to happen in a peaceful way. But Most countries in East African Community(EAC) enter election period every 5 years or 7 years. This helps them to renew the authorities at lower level as well as at higher level like presidential elections. This patriotic undertaking  tends to occur unfortunately in hostile environment in most of East African countries . is it possible to rectify the situation in order to host stable elections? EAC is comprised of 8 countries with constitutions which requires elections to renew leaderships. These are democratic states not monarchies.
